Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Mr. Žarko Laketa and the Croatian General Police Director  Mr. Nikola Milina held a working meeting in Zagreb

Director of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, Mr. Žarko Laketa and Head of the Sector for Readmission, Reception and Accommodation in the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, Mr. Ivo Ramljak, held a working meeting in Zagreb with the General  Police Director of  the Republic of Croatia , Mr. Nikola Milina, Deputy of General Police Director, Mr. Jozo Šuker and Head of the the Border Police Directorate at the MoI of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Zoran Ničeno.

During the conversation, a high degree of cooperation and understanding between the Service for Foreigners' Affairs and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Croatia was confirmed, and Mr. Milina took the opportunity to praise the Service for Foreigners' Affairs and  Mr. Laketa, due to the fact that he adheres to the signed readmission agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Croatia, and that in quick and professional way is being dealt with the migrants who try illegaly to cross the border. Also, Mr. Milina pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina has become a country that functions well in the field of readmission, and that the Republic of Croatia is in good surrounding.

Director of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs , Mr. Žarko Laketa, emphasizing the friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, pointed out that these two countries have correct cooperation and that the Service for Foreigners' Affairs  is obliged to respond to migration challenges and as such has made a good move and small steps lead to big results.

The meeting discussed the current migrant situation in both countries, the movement and trends of illegal migration, primarily referring to the solution to suppressing all forms of irregular migration, with a special emphasis on preventing the smuggling of illegal migrants as well as the reception of persons at the common state border.

Director Laketa, on this occasion, stated that the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, within its jurisdiction, invests considerable efforts in order to respond in the best way to the problem of illegal migration in BiH.

The Croatian General Police Director of the Police, Mr. Nikola Milina, expressed his gratitude on the visit by Mr. Laketa , stressing his willingness to continue mutual cooperation and its further improvement.

It was concluded that cooperation will be further improved in all segments of work, especially in the exchange of information and prevention of illegal migration.
