On March 29, 2024, the three- days meetings of the Regional Group of Readmission Experts began in Belgrade (RGRS). Ā With a focus on fostering cooperation with countries of origin, RGRS addresses the complexities of the return, readmission and reintegration process.
Under the auspices of the IOM, and in accordance with the interest of the group members, these meetings brought together experts from the Western Balkans, together with representatives of key countries of origin such as Bangladesh and Iraq.
Working together to identify common priorities, researching sustainable policies, reintegration and strengthening cooperation were just some of the topics discussed.
It is expected that this event will contribute to the improvement of the system, management of migration and readmission in the Western Balkans, and the development of sustainable and comprehensive return practices.
