Ceremonial handover of equipment within the VMM project

A ceremonial handover of equipment donated within the VMM project (Victim-centred Migration Management in BiH) was held at the premises of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs.

The handover was attended by the Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Žarko Laketa, H.E. Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jana Lolić Šindelková, and the Head of the ICMPD Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Project Manager, Adrian Cooper.

The donated equipment includes modern technical means intended for conducting professional training and strengthening operational capacities. This donation will significantly improve the capacities of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs in the segment of education and professional development of officers, and contribute to better and more efficient practical work.

The project “Victim-centred Migration Management in BiH” is implemented by the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), with the financial support of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic.

On the occasion of the completion of the project, Director Žarko Laketa expressed his gratitude to the donor and implementer for the support provided, emphasizing that the donated equipment represents a significant contribution to the further development and modernization of the institution.

It was emphasized that investing in in knowledge and professional development is the foundation for long-term strengthening of institutional capacities.

It was expressed that successful cooperation will continue in the coming period, through the implementation of projects of mutual interest.
