Deputy Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Mirsad Buzar, the U.S. Ambassador to BiH, Michael Murphy and Director of the Border Police of BiH ,Mirko Kuprešaković held a meeting

Deputy Director of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, Mirsad Buzar, Director of the Border Police of BiH, Mirko Kuprešaković and the U.S. Ambassador to BiH,  Michael Murphy with his colleagues held a meeting at the premises of the Border Police of BiH.

At the meeting, they discussed the security situation and migrant situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the importance of continuing extremely successful cooperation. Deputy Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Mirsad Buzar and Director Kuprešaković thanked the U.S. Embassy for its long-term support.

Ambassador Murphy thanked as well, and emphasized the importance of strengthening the ongoing cooperation between the U.S. Embassy and the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs of BiH, and the Border Police of BiH. He stressed the importance of enhanced counterterrorism and border security cooperation, and reiterated the United States’ continued support to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and multi-ethnic character.

At the meeting , they concluded that the ongoing cooperation will be further improved and that the U.S. Embassy will continue to strenghten the capacities of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs and the Border Police of BiH. At the same time, further modalities of cooperation were agreed upon.
