Today, the representative of UNHCR, Ms Lucie Gagne, together with her colleagues, visited the Service for Foreigners' Affairs.
Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs , Mr Žarko Laketa, led today's meeting, and they discussed the activities carried out so far on the joint project, which is currently being implemented between UNHCR and the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs.
The project entitled "Facilitating Early Identification and Registration of Persons in need of International Protection" was signed at the beginning of this year, and the extension of the contract for the next year was also discussed at today's meeting.
Through the exchange of experiences of the mentioned project, a cross-section of the results achieved so far was made, and further steps and guidelines that need to be followed were established, so that the project could be implemented as best as possible by joint forces.
Director Žarko Laketa expressed his gratitude to the UNHCR delegation for the visit, and support in the work as well the development of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, and both parties agreed that the good cooperation will be continued to mutual satisfaction.
