A person who poses a threat to the national security is removed

On 9 september 2024, carrying out intensified operational measures to control the movement and stay of foreigners in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the members of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, in cooperation with the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, found M.N., a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, in the area of Sarajevo. (born in 1984), who was declared a threat to the national security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and imposed a measure of expulsion with a ban on entering and staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a period of 5 years.

This person is linked to ‘radical followers of Salafism’ in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in order to ensure the execution of expulsion measures, and restriction of movement due to the threat to the national security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he is placed under surveillance in the Immigration Center and will be removed from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the near future.

In the coming period, the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs will continue to carry out enhanced activities within its jurisdiction regarding the control of the movement, and stay of foreigners in BiH, and through its activities will make a full contribution to the protection of the security of BiH
