A meeting and solemn handover ceremony of IT equipment within the framework of the Project EU4FAST WB (EU Support to Strengthen the Fight Against Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkans) was held at the premises of the Service for Foreigners\u2019 Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The solemn handover ceremony was attended by \u017darko Laketa, Director of the Service for Foreigners\u2019 Affairs, Franck Fortin, Project Manager EU4FAST WB on behalf of Civipol and Mirsad Buzar, GIZ Legal Advisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On that occasion, Director of the Service for Foreigners\u2019 Affairs , \u017darko Laketa ,expressed his gratitude to Civipol and GIZ for the donation, emphasizing the importance of continued support from international partners in strengthening the capacities of institutions dealing with migration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted that the donated IT equipment will significantly improve the operational and technical capacities of the SFA. Also, Director Laketa emphasized that this donation is of particular importance because it enables the modernization of the SFA\u2019s work system, which further improve its readiness to contemporary migration challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Service for Foreigners\u2019 Affairs will continue its activities aimed at further modernization, strengthening institutional capacities, and improving cooperation with relevant international organizations and institutions in upcoming period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
