Upon conducted inspection control at the region of Neum, Mostar, Sarajevo and Istočno Sarajevo, the inspectors of Service for Foreigners Affairs carried out inspection control over legal and natural persons who provide accommodation services to foreign citizens at the territory of Banja Luka and Bihać.
This inspection is carried out on the basis of the operative information collected by the Service for Foreigners Affairs that the certain number of legal and natural persons who provide accommodation services to the foreign citizens at the region of Banja Luka and Bihać, and promote themselves through „Booking.com“ and 'Trivago' are not obeying legal provisions regarding the holding, verification and keeping records of foreign guests book, also timely registration of foreigners and deregistration.
The control is conducted in more than 230 facilities where accommodation services are provided to the foreign citizens.
A number of irregularities were found and disrespect of immigration regulations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thus 51 notice has been served for undertaking measures of Service's competence and elimination of identified irregularities of natural and legal persons who provide accommodation services. The significant number of controlled facilities are not registered for provision of accommodation services , thus Service undertakes measures by its competency, and the Service shall forward to the competent inspection authorities these identified irregularities which pertain to the competence of other authorities.
Service for Foreigners Affairs invites legal and natural persons who provide accommodation services to the foreign citizens to come at the competent field office of Service for information of all legal obligations that pertain to the registration and deregistration of foreigners, and keeping records pursuant to the Law on Aliens.
