The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs successfully removed 15 persons who were illegally staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina

In accordance with valid bilateral agreements, on April 25, 2024, the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs successfully removed 15 persons who were illegally staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina, returning them to their countries of origin. Of those 15 persons, two were forcibly removed, while the other 13 persons were returned through regular procedures.

The mentioned two persons, who were forcibly returned to their country of origin, were previously placed under supervision at the Immigration Center of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs.

The forced removal was carried out by a commercial flight from the International Airport in Sarajevo, accompanied by security and escort officers and adequate security measures. The persons were handed over to the competent authorities of the countries of origin.

The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs confirms its commitment to strengthening with the countries of origin in order to more efficiently confront the challenges of illegal migration.
