Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs carried out an inspection of residential buildings that were illegally used to house migrants in the area of the municipality Ilidža, in the in the Pejton settlement, Street Bosanskih gazija.
On this occasion, a total of 50 migrants were found who illegally used the mentioned facilities, after which they were transferred to the Temporary Reception Center ‘Blažuj’ and ‘Ušivak’ in accordance with the procedures. Also, on this occasion, the members of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs issued a measure of expulsion, and placing under supervision in the Immigration Center in Istočno Sarajevo for a Syrian citizen, initials A.S., who is linked to the organization of illegal accommodation of migrants and violation of regulations in the area of the Law on Aliens.
In addition to the migrants, a large amount of travel documents, and other documents were found in the premises that were subject to control, which, in accordance with legal procedures, will be forwarded to the competent authorities for further action.
The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs will continue to consistently implement measures and activities within its jurisdiction in order to prevent the illegal use of housing facilities for the accommodation of migrants, thereby contributing to the improvement of security throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
