Solemn handover ceremony of IT equipment within Project EU4FAST WB

A meeting and solemn handover ceremony of IT equipment within the framework of the Project EU4FAST WB (EU Support to Strengthen the Fight Against Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkans) was held at the premises of the Service for Foreignersā€™ Affairs.

The solemn handover ceremony was attended by Žarko Laketa, Director of the Service for Foreignersā€™ Affairs, Franck Fortin, Project Manager EU4FAST WB on behalf of Civipol and Mirsad Buzar, GIZ Legal Advisor.

On that occasion, Director of the Service for Foreignersā€™ Affairs , Žarko Laketa ,expressed his gratitude to Civipol and GIZ for the donation, emphasizing the importance of continued support from international partners in strengthening the capacities of institutions dealing with migration.

He highlighted that the donated IT equipment will significantly improve the operational and technical capacities of the SFA. Also, Director Laketa emphasized that this donation is of particular importance because it enables the modernization of the SFAā€™s work system, which further improve its readiness to contemporary migration challenges.

The Service for Foreignersā€™ Affairs will continue its activities aimed at further modernization, strengthening institutional capacities, and improving cooperation with relevant international organizations and institutions in upcoming period.
