Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs Mr. Žarko Laketa, received the newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Mr. Mohammed Meraimi.
Director Laketa wished Ambassador Meraimi a welcome, and a successful mandate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and introduced him to the responsibilities organizational structure and key activities of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs.
During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation so far, the current migration flows, as well as the possibilities of improving the cooperation between the two countries in the field of migration.
Ambassador Meraimi expressed his respect for the work of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs , and gave full support to its future activities, highlighting the importance of the role that the SFA plays in managing migration and the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also expressed the hope that the bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be further strengthened, especially through the exchange of experiences and good practices in the field of migration and international cooperation.
The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs remains committed to fostering constructive relations with diplomatic and consular missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of strengthening institutional cooperation, and improving the management of migration processes.
