Measures taken against three Romanian nationals

Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska, the Prnjavor Police Station took measures against three Romanian nationals.

During the inspection of a passenger motor vehicle in the town of Galjipovci, a large quantity of goods-jewelry, intended for sale, was found without documentation on the origin of the goods.

The aforementioned goods were temporarily seized by the Department for Inspection Affairs of the City of Prnjavor, and one of the foreign citizens was issued a misdemeanor warrant, and fined in accordance with applicable legal regulations.

The persons were handed over to the jurisdiction of the Service for Foreigners Affairs and placed in the Banja Luka Field Center, where, in the presence of an interpreter, it was determined that they were staying within the framework of the visa-free regime, but were illegally carrying out economic activities, thus violating the residence regulations.

The Service for Foreigners Affairs has issued a decision on termination of the right to visa-free residence, and imposed a measure of expulsion from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a period of one year, due to non-compliance with public order in Bosnia and Herzegovina, or laws and other regulations, and performing activities without the approval of the competent authority.

The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs continues to implement measures, and activities aimed at controlling the legality of residence and work of foreign citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
