The Service for Foreigners' Affairs informs the public that unofficially published information about the SFA's activities has appeared in the media, and hereby announces official and confirmed data.
As part of regular activities, inspectors of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs carried out on 3 October 2025, a control of the residence and work of foreign citizens at the Komanja Brdo location, Stolac Municipality.
On that occasion, a total of 141 citizens of the People's Republic of China were found, 71 of whom were working without previously approved temporary residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina and without a work permit.
The travel documents of the persons in question were temporarily seized, certificates were issued, and proceedings were initiated in accordance with the Law on Foreigners.
A total of 71 passports were confiscated, and legal action will be taken against all persons. Also, the responsible person's passport was confiscated due to observed irregularities, and he was summoned to the official premises of the Mostar Field Office.
This activity represents a significant result of the inspectors of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, who, through continuous and coordinated actions, work to prevent the illegal residence and work of foreign citizens, as well as to protect the security and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Service for Foreigners' Affairs will continue to conduct intensified controls in the coming period, with the aim of ensuring full implementation of legal regulations and preserving institutional accountability.
