The Service for Foreigners' Affairs, based on the collected operational information, has received information that two citizens of the Russian Federation from the territory of Chechnya have entered the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aforementioned persons have been marked as of security interest and are associated with terrorism, thus representing a potential threat to national security.
In cooperation with the Intelligence - Security Agency, an urgent and coordinated operational action was carried out with the aim of locating and placing the aforementioned persons under surveillance. Through operational work, the persons were very quickly identified and found in the Sarajevo area, after which, in accordance with applicable regulations, they were ordered to be placed under surveillance and placed in the Immigration Center in IstoÄŤno Sarajevo. After completing all legally prescribed procedures, on 17 October 2025, the aforementioned persons were removed from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the coming period, the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, in cooperation with the competent security agencies, will continue to take all legally prescribed measures and actions with the aim of preserving national security and protection of citizens.
