On December 1, 2025, inspectors for foreigners of the Sarajevo Field Center, in cooperation with police officers of the Border Police, conducted joint operational activities in the Ilidža municipality.
The activities were carried out based on an order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, against foreign citizens for whom there are grounds for suspicion that they are connected to the commission of multiple criminal offenses in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the implementation of the activities, a search of residential premises in the Ilidža municipality was carried out, as well as a search of a vehicle used by a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.
On that occasion, documents for which there are grounds for suspicion that they are forged were found and temporarily seized, as well as specialized equipment and materials that can be used to create forged documents. The found items will be used as evidence in further proceedings.
From the matters within the jurisdiction of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, acting ex officio, a measure of expulsion from the territory of BiH was imposed to the citizen of Republic of Turkey, with a ban on entry for a period of 3 (three) years. In order to ensure the enforcement of the imposed measure, the aforementioned person was placed under supervision in the Immigration Center in Istočno Sarajevo.
The Service for Foreigners' Affairs will continue to conduct intensive activities aimed at identifying, detecting and preventing all forms of illegal migration and related criminal activities in the coming period, in cooperation with domestic and international institutions.
