On January 29, 2024, the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs carried out the procedure of forced removal of a French citizen, for whom NCB INTERPOL issued a warrant on suspicion of criminal offenses related to terrorism, weapons and high technology, and who has been qualified by the competent authority for performing security checks as a person who represents a threat to public order and national security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  

The Service forForeigners' Affairs is undertaking measures and actions within its competence in order to locate the mentioned person, on 30 December 2023

informed by the police officers of the Ministry of Interior of the Republika Srpska, that the person in question had been deprived of his liberty in the area of Trebinje, after which he was escorted to the official premises of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, where he was handed over to the SFA for competent proceedings.

Accordingly, the measure of expulsion from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina was sentenced to the concerned person, with a ban on entry and stay in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a period of 5 years, after which he was placed under supervision at the Immigration Center in East Sarajevo.

The removal of the aforementioned foreign citizen was carried out by private flight from Sarajevo International Airport, where he was handed over to the officers of the National Transfer Service of the Ministry of Justice of France from Paris, who will escort the concerned person to the country of origin.

The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs will continue to undertake these and similar activities in the coming period, the priority goal of which is to contribute to the protection of the security system of BiH.
