Visit of the Deputy Director of the Cooperation Program at the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs

Today, a meeting was held in the premises of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs  between the Deputy Director of the Program for Cooperation at the Embassy of Switzerland, Ms. Chantal Felder, the Director of the SFA, Mr. Žarko Laketa and the Deputy Director of the SFA, Mr. Almin Imamović.

On this occasion, Ms. Chantal Felder met the newly elected Deputy Director of the SFA, Mr. Imamović, and wished him successful work in his new position.

Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Mr. Žarko Laketa, used today's meeting to introduce Ms. Chantal Felder to the current migrant situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the work of the SFA so far, and all the challenges that faces with.

Also, Mr. Laketa presented the process of transition, that is, the transition of the management of illegal migration from international institutions to the institutions of BiH, as well as the key activities and results of the SFA, and emphasized the importance of continuous support and cooperation with partners such as Switzerland.

Ms. Chantal Felder praised the work of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, and recognized its results in the management of illegal migration in Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasized the importance of the SFA's role in this area.

Today's meeting strengthened the understanding of the challenges and needs of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which confirmed the commitment of both parties in strengthening cooperation in the field of migration.
