Service for Foreigners Affairs placed under surveillance in the Immigration Center person representing a threat to national security of BiH

On day 22/10/2017, inspectors of Service for Foreigners Affairs apprehended  individual M.I., in the area of Bijeljina, the citizen of Russia who represents the threat to national security of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the relations with terrorism.

It is sentenced the measure of expulsion and forbidden entry and stay at the territory of BiH to this foreign citizen in duration of five years, thus he is placed under surveillance in the Immigration Center of Service for Foreigners Affairs.

The person concerned has been arrested on 14/04/2017 at the Airport Sarajevo because the Interpol Moscow issued the warrant due to his links with terrorism, therefore he was until yesterday on execution of measure extradition custody upon the decision of the BiH Court. Since the requirements have not been fulfilled  for his extradition in to parent country , the person concerned is released from custody, and after detained by the inspectors of SFA and placed in the Immigration Center, given that he represents the threat to national security.

Service for Foreigners Affairs undertakes all necessary measures and actions in order to remove person concerned M.I. from the BiH territory, and shall be deported in to his parent country when necessary conditions are met.

Service shall continue in following period to conduct the enhanced measures of movement and stay control of aliens in BiH, and shall provide the full contribution to the BiH security by its operative action.
