
Director - Žarko Laketa
Žarko Laketa was born on 22 August 1965, in Nevesinje. He enrolled at the School of Internal Affair (majoring in Policeman - Traffic Control Technician) in Sarajevo, in 1981. After graduation in 1985, he went to Belgrade for further education. He graduated from the Military Academy - Land Forces (majoring in Military Police) in 1989, when his police career began.
In his work so far, he performed tasks and activities according to all lines of work., from a police officer to various management positions: Commander of Police Station, Chief of the Center of Public Safety, Police Inspector, Commander Assistant, Inspector for Suppression of General Crime, Platoon Commander - Teacher at High School for International Affairs, Inspector for Control of Movement and Stay of Foreigner, Deputy Commander, Chief of Centre of Public Safety, Assistant Director for Organization and Operation of the BiH Border Police.
For his work as Assistant Director for Organization and Operation at the BiH Border Police, he was awarded with Golden Police Badge by the Ministry of Security of BiH.
He held the position of Chief of the Centre of Public Safety Trebinje from 1 July 2015, after which he became an Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska on 25 January 2019. He was appointed to the position of Advisor to the Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH on 3 February 2020.
The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the 2nd session held on 9 February 2023, adopted a Decision on appointment of the Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, by which he was appointed as the Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs for a term of five years.
He is married, father of three children.

Deputy director - Almin Imamović
Almin Imamović is the Deputy Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs (SFA) appointed by the BiH Council of Ministers’ Decision from 7 December 2023.
To this position was nominated from the post of Inspector for foreigners in the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs that he assumed in 2012. He worked as a Senior Associate in the Service for Foreigners’Affairs from 2012 to 2021 in the Field Office Tuzla ,as well other field offices in BiH, and as the Coordinator – Inspector for Foreigners at the Temporary Reception Center Miral- Velika Kladuša in 2021 and Temporary Reception Center Lipa- Bihać in period from 2021 to 2023.
Graduated from the University in Tuzla in 2003. He attended many conferences, seminars and roundtable discussion from different domain, thus as well completed a series of specialist trainings organized by the BiH Ministry of Security, the BiH Intelligence- Security Agency, OSCE, US Department of Justice, US Department of State-Bureau of Diplomatic Security, UNHCR, UN and other.

Assistant director - Grenko Arapović
Grenko Arapović has been nominated at the position of Assistent Director for the internal control by the decision of the BiH Council of Ministers number: 246/17, since 31 October 2017.
He has been nominated at this position from the previous one which was the Chief of Department for education in criminal matters before the Court of BIH, Ministry of Justice B&H.
He graduated from the Faculty of Legal Science of the University in Sarajevo in 1983.
He has very wealth professional career by the police forces, State Border Service of B&H, judicial reform, Prosecutor's Office of B&H - investigation of war crimes, Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of B&H, Ministry of Justice of B&H.
During his professional carieer, he was actively involved in the work of the numerous conferences, seminars and round tables by different fields, and completed a series of specialized trainings. In addition to that, he was contact point of the BiH Ministry of Justice and EUROYUST, a member of MONEYVAL delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a member of many working groups of the BiH Council of Ministers responsible for preparing strategic documents.
