Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Žarko Laketa, held a meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Slovenia, led by Franc Kangler, State Secretary at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Public Administration of the Republic of Slovenia, responsible for police, international protection and migration.
During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on current migration trends and issues of importance for migration management, as well as on possibilities for further development of cooperation between the competent institutions of the two countries.
Special attention was paid to improving inter-institutional cooperation and implementing European standards in the field of migration, while considering opportunities for more intensive exchange of information, joint training and expert visits.
Director Laketa emphasized the importance of cooperation with the institutions of the Republic of Slovenia, thanking them for the exchange of experiences and support so far, and emphasized the SFA’s readiness to continue, and further strengthen partnership relations in areas of mutual interest.
