Service for Foreigners' Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina was established in 2006. year. Its main function is to manage migration to the territory of BiH, and is of great importance to the fight against organized crime, smuggling, illegal immigration and trafficking in human beings, who have been taken as the main indicators of the readiness of BiH for abolishing the visa regime.
